In Aberoch’s village known for its beaches, sailing and summer crowds, there's one place that has become just as much a part of an Abersoch day out as the beach itself.
Two Islands isn't your typical ice cream parlour. This independent business run by Jack & Laura has earned a reputation for doing things differently, making every batch of ice cream from scratch using Welsh dairy, natural ingredients and plenty of imagination. It's the kind of place where queues regularly form outside the door, and for good reason.
Every flavour is made on-site in Abersoch using Welsh milk, cream and free-range eggs, without commercial stabilisers or unnecessary fillers. Even the extras - from brownie pieces and caramel ripples to shortbread and fruit compotes - are made in-house, creating an ice cream that's rich, creamy and full of flavour.
There's much more to Two Islands than the ice cream.
Inside you'll also find speciality coffee, brewed using beans from Welsh roastery Coaltown Coffee, alongside a daily selection of homemade cakes and bakes. Everything is baked in-house each day, with the same attention to detail that's made Two Islands' ice cream so popular. Seasonal fruit, wholegrain flours and thoughtful ingredients feature heavily in the bakery, with gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options often available too. A showstopper is always the cinnamon buns - if you see any on the counter, you’re in luck.
